Tvoli Terms of Use

Effective date: 17 October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") apply to the Tvoli app for iPhone and iPad, including its widgets, Control Center controls, Live Activity and Siri and Shortcuts actions (together, the "App").

1. Who we are

The App is provided by the developer of Tvoli, an individual developer based in Türkiye, shown as the seller on the App Store ("we", "us", "our"). You can reach us at support@melyro.app.

2. How these Terms fit with Apple's licence

  1. Apple's Standard EULA is your licence. Your licence to use the App is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), available at https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These Terms do not replace it.
  2. These Terms add to it. These Terms are additional terms that supplement the Standard EULA. They cover the parts of using the App that the Standard EULA does not, such as how the App works with your TV, purchases and disputes.
  3. Conflicts. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA on anything about the licence to use the App, the Standard EULA prevails.
  4. Agreement. These Terms are linked on the App's Pro screen and on its App Store page. By using the App after being shown these Terms, you agree to them and to the Standard EULA. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
  5. Minors. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms and approve purchases. Apple's Family Sharing and Ask to Buy settings control purchases by children.

3. What the App does

  1. A remote over Wi-Fi. The App controls compatible smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Google TV and Android TV devices, Roku, Vizio, Philips and Sony. It sends commands from your iPhone or iPad directly to the TV over your local Wi-Fi network. It does not use infrared (IR) and does not work with TVs that only accept IR remotes.
  2. What you need. To use the App you need:
    • an iPhone or iPad running a supported version of iOS or iPadOS;
    • a compatible TV that is switched on and connected to the same local network as your device;
    • to allow the App's Local Network permission; and
    • for some TVs, to pair the App by accepting a prompt on the TV or by entering in the App a code or key shown or set on the TV.
  3. Compatibility varies. Not every feature works on every TV model, firmware version or network. Guest networks, VPNs, router settings and TV standby settings can stop the App from finding or controlling a TV.
  4. Turning a TV on. The App can try to wake a TV that is off by sending a Wake-on-LAN signal. This is best effort. iOS may not let the App send this signal, and many TVs and networks ignore it, so it may fail without any error message. Your TV usually needs to be in network standby for the App to reach it.
  5. TV makers can change their systems. The App relies on control interfaces that TV makers build into their products. A TV maker can change, limit or switch off those interfaces at any time, for example through a firmware update. If that happens, some or all features may stop working for that TV until we can update the App, and we may not be able to.
  6. Not a safety device. Do not rely on the App where a failed or delayed command could cause harm.
  7. Effects on your TV. The App sends only the same kinds of commands the TV accepts from its own remote or the maker's apps over the local network. It does not install or change TV firmware. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for changes made to your TV by commands you send, for settings the TV maker resets, or for any effect on the TV maker's warranty or support.

4. Your TVs and your network

  1. Only control devices you are allowed to control. Use the App only with TVs and networks that you own or that you have permission to use. Do not use it to control, disturb or monitor other people's devices.
  2. Pairing data is stored on your device. When you pair a TV, the App stores the pairing details it needs (such as tokens, keys or a client certificate) on your device and uses them only to talk to that TV. The TV keeps its own record of the pairing. Our Privacy Policy explains what is stored and where.
  3. Use trusted networks. Commands and keyboard text travel over your local network, and some TVs accept them without encryption. Use the App only on networks you trust. We are not responsible for what other people or devices on your network can see or do.
  4. Your responsibility. You are responsible for the settings you change on your TV and network, and for what you type and send to your TV using the App's keyboard.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

  1. Apple handles all payments. All purchases are made through Apple's App Store. Apple is the merchant of record and processes your payment under its own terms. We do not see or store your payment details.
  2. Access requires a purchase. The App has no free tier. To keep using it after any free trial, you need one of these:
    • Tvoli Pro Yearly: an auto-renewing yearly subscription;
    • Tvoli Pro Monthly: an auto-renewing monthly subscription; or
    • Tvoli Pro Lifetime: a one-time purchase.
  3. Prices. Prices are shown in the App and on the App Store before you buy, in your local currency, and may include taxes. Prices can differ by country.
  4. Free trial. The yearly subscription may include a 7-day free trial. The App shows the trial only if Apple confirms you are eligible for it. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the yearly subscription starts and your Apple Account is charged the yearly price.
  5. Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges your Apple Account within the 24 hours before the period ends.
  6. Cancelling. You can cancel or change a subscription in your device's Settings, under your name and then Subscriptions, or in the App Store. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. If you cancel during a free trial, Apple may end your access to the trial right away. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
  7. Price changes. If the price of a subscription changes, Apple will tell you in advance and, where Apple's rules or the law require, ask for your consent before the new price applies.
  8. Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. You can request one at https://reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves. This does not affect any rights you have under the law of your country, including any right of withdrawal, which you exercise through Apple.
  9. Restoring purchases. You can restore a purchase on the App's Pro screen by tapping Restore while signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it.
  10. Lifetime purchase. "Lifetime" means access to the App for as long as we make the App available and it supports your device. It is linked to your Apple Account. It does not promise that the App will be offered or updated forever (see Section 10). If we remove the App from the App Store, that does not disable a copy already installed or a purchase already made.
  11. Family Sharing and other Apple features. Whether a purchase can be shared, moved or refunded depends on Apple's settings and rules, not on us.

6. Acceptable use

When using the App, you agree not to:

  1. use it in a way that breaks any law, or to access, disturb or control a device or network without permission;
  2. interfere with, overload or attack any network, TV or other device;
  3. get around the App's purchase checks, or share, sell or distribute modified copies of the App; or
  4. copy, modify, decompile or reverse-engineer the App, except where the law allows it and cannot be limited by contract.

7. No affiliation and trademarks

  1. Independent app. Tvoli is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Samsung, LG, Google, Roku, Vizio, Philips, TP Vision, Sony or any other TV maker or platform owner.
  2. Names of TV makers. Samsung, LG, Google TV, Android TV, Roku, Vizio, Philips, Sony and other product names are trademarks of their owners. We use these names to describe compatibility and to connect through the interfaces these TVs make available on your local network. The App does not include their logos.
  3. Apple. Apple, iPhone, iPad, Siri and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc. Apple does not sponsor or endorse the App.
  4. Third-party apps and services. The App can open streaming apps and other content on your TV. Those apps and services belong to third parties. Their own terms and privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for them, their content or their availability.

8. Privacy

The Tvoli Privacy Policy, linked on the App's Pro screen and on its App Store page, explains how the App handles information. In short, the App does not collect personal data: it has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The information it needs to control your TVs stays on your device (and in your device backups) and is sent only to the TVs on your local network that you choose to control. Nothing is sent to us or to any third party. If these Terms and the Privacy Policy conflict on how information is handled, the Privacy Policy prevails.

9. Ownership and feedback

  1. Ownership. We and our licensors own all rights in the App, including its code, design, text and names. You receive only the licence granted by the Standard EULA. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
  2. Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them freely and without payment or credit to you. Do not send anything you consider confidential.

10. Changes to the App

  1. Updates. We may update, change or remove features of the App, for example to fix problems, keep up with iOS, or respond to changes TV makers make. We make changes only for valid reasons, such as security, compatibility with iOS or TV firmware, or legal requirements. Changes do not cost you extra. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, you can end the contract and seek a refund through Apple or under your local law.
  2. Discontinuing the App. We may stop offering, supporting or updating the App, or remove it from the App Store. If we do, a copy already installed on your device may keep working, but it may stop working with future versions of iOS or TV firmware.
  3. Your rights stay. Where the law of your country gives you rights if a paid digital product stops working as promised, these Terms do not limit those rights.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the extent the law allows, the App is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no promise that the App will work with your particular TV, network or device, that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every command will reach your TV. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

Some countries do not allow these exclusions. If you are a consumer, you keep the statutory rights you have under the law of your country of residence, including any legal guarantee that digital content conforms to the contract. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.

12. Limitation of liability

  1. Limits. To the extent the law allows:
    • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App; and
    • our total liability to you for all claims about the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim, and EUR 50 (or the equivalent in your currency).
  2. What we do not limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:
    • death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
    • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
    • damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence; or
    • any other liability that the law of your country does not allow us to exclude or limit.
  3. Consumers in the EU, EEA, UK and Türkiye. If you are a consumer in these regions, we are liable for foreseeable loss and damage caused by our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care, as your local law provides. We are not liable for loss that was not foreseeable.

13. Indemnity

If you misuse the App, for example by using it to control or interfere with a device or network without permission, or by breaking Section 6 or the law, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs from claims made by third parties because of that misuse. This applies only to the extent the law of your country allows it, and it does not apply to claims caused by our own fault. This section does not apply to consumers in the EU, EEA, UK or Türkiye, except for liability that their law already imposes for unlawful acts.

14. Ending these Terms

These Terms apply for as long as you use the App. You can stop at any time by deleting the App and cancelling any subscription. We may stop supporting your use of the App if you seriously break these Terms or the Standard EULA. Sections 7, 9 and 11 to 17 continue to apply after these Terms end.

15. Governing law and disputes

  1. Talk to us first. If you have a problem with the App, please contact us at support@melyro.app.
  2. Governing law. These Terms and any dispute about them or the App are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
  3. Courts. Subject to Section 15.4, the courts and enforcement offices of Istanbul (Çağlayan) have jurisdiction over disputes about these Terms and the App.
  4. Consumers keep their local protections. If you are a consumer, the choice of Turkish law and Istanbul courts does not take away the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence. In particular:
    • consumers in the EU, the EEA or the UK may rely on the mandatory consumer laws of their country and may bring proceedings in the courts of their country of residence;
    • consumers in Türkiye may apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees (Tüketici Hakem Heyetleri) or the consumer courts that Consumer Protection Law No. 6502 makes competent; and
    • consumers elsewhere keep any rights that the law of their country does not allow a contract to remove.
  5. No class action waiver or arbitration. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive your right to a court or to join a collective action where the law gives you one.

16. Apple

  1. Apple is not a party. These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the App and its content, as the Standard EULA describes.
  2. Support and claims. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the App. We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims about the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims, and claims that the App infringes someone else's intellectual property.
  3. Apple's role. The Standard EULA sets out Apple's role, including warranty, maintenance and export terms.

17. General

  1. Changes to these Terms. We may update these Terms from time to time, for example when the App or the law changes. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date and, for important changes, mention them in the App Store release notes or in an App update before they take effect. For consumers, material changes take effect no earlier than 30 days after we post them. Changes do not apply to disputes that arose before them, and they do not reduce access you have already paid for, during the current subscription period or under a Lifetime purchase, without a valid reason as described in Section 10.1. If you do not agree to the changes, you can stop using the App and cancel any subscription.
  2. Entire agreement. The Standard EULA and these Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the App. The Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
  3. Severability. If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that part will be changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stays in effect.
  4. No waiver. If we do not enforce a part of these Terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  5. Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms except as Apple's rules allow. We may transfer the App and these Terms to another provider, as long as your rights are not reduced.
  6. Events outside our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as changes made by TV makers, Apple or network providers, outages or natural events.
  7. Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation and it differs from the English version, the version more favourable to you as a consumer applies where your law requires it.
